| The "Youth Red cross" of Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai is in operation for the past one decade. The volunteers serve with an open mind and work together harmoniously with dedication, love and kindness. As a primary duty the down trodden are taken care of. |

Other regular activities are
- Preparing a sumptuous lunch and handicraft classes for the mentally challenged children
- Inviting leading ophthalmologist and conducting eye camps to create awareness on eye donation and eye care among the youth
- Helping to regulate the out patients in city hospital
- Survey, Skit and model display of breakfast to emphasis the importance of breakfast
- Putting up messages relating to health, cleanliness and hygiene on canteen notice boards
- Creating nutritional awareness for the general public
- Conducting blood and dental camps
- Distribution of old clothes
