| Ethiraj College for Women was established in the year 1948 with the aim of providing quality higher education. The Institution continually seeks and adopts new methods to sustain and enhance the quality of higher education. It promotes freedom of thought, innovation and creativity which are essential for academic excellence. Over a period of more than six decades, lakhs of students have graduated from this Institution with Bachelors, Masters , M.Phil and PhD degrees. |

| The Parent Teacher Association of our College is very active and provide us a forum for exchange of views between the parents and the faculty. Various government agencies and Non-governmental organizations are happy about the contributions and students are working in different social service areas.
